Keeping Students Connected During COVID-19
Every fall thousands of students flock to Northeastern University's Annual Club Fair to browse through campus club offerings, chat with student organizers, and join clubs that pique their interest.
Unfortunately, due to social distancing guidelines, the usual Club Fair activities were off the table this year.
To help students stay connected during COVID-19, we partnered with NU's Center For Student Involvement to create Fall Fest World, a virtual experience recreating the social and interactive aspects of the Club Fair.
Fall Fest World is a retro game experience that allows students to walk through an isometric pixel art map, explore club booths, and even video chat with club organizers via zoom rooms located in each club booth.
2020's Fall Fest was a huge success! 400 individual clubs and over 10,000 unique users participated on the day of the event, and we've received a ton of positive feedback from students.
If you'd like to learn more about the process of creating Virtual Fall Fest, take a look at our case study - and don't forget to take a walk through Fall Fest World here!
The Yetis got crafty and made dream catchers during a recent virtual craft night!
